Tried & True Stroller Reviews

I’m a mom of 3. I think in total I have owned/tested about 17-18 strollers throughout all of my babies. I always said, if lactation didn’t take off as my main career, I’d pivot my way to baby gear because I love giving my opinions on them. For the sake of the fact that it is 2026 and most of these strollers I’ve tried are as old as 2012. I am mainly reviewing strollers I have used recently with my 3rd baby, Alonzo, and single strollers (since those are the main one’s I’ve tried!). These are NOT in specific order of favorite to least or least to favorite.

Without further ado let’s stroll (corny?!)

Nuna Mixx Next

Flame retardant free material. I have never seen so many Nuna strollers than I have the last 2 years. Honestly that is what caught my eye. Plus the fact that it is FR-free. But it is also a whopping $1,000 USD. Wow. So I found one on FB Marketplace (honestly my top recommendation to do—NOT for infant car seats. We got ours new at Dillard’s. Linked here.) & it’s been a series of emotions. After cleaning it up and setting it up, I initially hated it. Yup.

Even my husband (who is more blunt than me) has told me “This feels cheap.” And I understand why. We have felt more security and less rattling with our Graco stroller from our first baby. But we also understand why. And the fact that it doesn’t come with a cup holder and even stroller caddy (WHICH IS $85 BTW!!!) really added sprinkles to this situation. I know I know it’s “flame retardant free” but so is the Chicco Bravo LE ClearTex stroller (Chicco uses ClearTex, engineered high density polyster & Nuna uses Merino Wool which is a natural fiber that’s soft but pricey ( & yes a skin-health win which is an added pro for Nuna.) Yes they are different sources but there IS a FR-free option that is better for your wallet which is the Chicco or even the Evenflo Shyft Intuiti+ w/ Green&Gentle Fabric is an option that is FR-free. Again different sources but still a more budget friendly option. There are probably WAYYY more budget friendly FR-free stroller options but let’s stick with the review! Holds up to 50 lbs. Here is a comparison video with the Nuna Triv Next.

Pros:

  • One of the easier folds on the strollers I’ve tried

  • Flame Retardant FREE (Merino Wool which is an added luxury touch)

  • Bassinet option to be able to use from newborn stage (no need for separate bassinet purchase IMO) although when in bassinet mode it doesn’t completely lay flat. More like nearly.

  • Comes with a infant ring adapter for Nuna Infant Car seats only

  • All seasons seat. Take off padding to reveal a mesh backrest (GREAT for summer days!)

  • Magnetic Buckle

  • Reversible seat

  • One of the best suspensions my husband and I have felt. Big wheels have been an added pro for multi terrain

  • Great re-sale value

  • holds up to 50 lbs

Cons:

  • The toddler slide. Many reports of parents feeling their toddler slides down when they get older & are hanging on by the crotch area.

  • The rattling is due to the suspension. But the frame feels so loose I feel it’s going to easy break unlike the Cruz V3.

  • Short footrest. When your baby turns into a toddler they may find their legs hanging.

  • 28 LBS (not a huge con IMO)

  • When folded the canopy looses it’s shape. I always have to round it out again.

  • You can only uses Nuna infant car seats with Nuna strollers

  • When parent facing, my baby slouched so much.

  • When cleaning, the basket piece is engrained into the stroller and doesn’t come off. If yours ever rips you need to buy an entire new frame.

  • Rarely has new parts in stock since they’re always changing their models

  • For one child only

  • Parents and social media have reports of customer service not being the most friendly or even helpful

  • I personally wish the basket space was better (best basket space award goes to the Cruz V3)

To finish:

Like I said, when I first used my Nuna mixx next, I hated it. But now I like it. I’ve learned to like it. I think its a decent stroller. I mainly got it because of the rave. But if a new mom was asking me for my advice on either this or the Cruz V3 I would most likely direct her to the Cruz V3.

Momcozy Change Go

Let me begin by saying, I think this is one of the best options as a double stroller. As a single stroller, I think it can be a bit too big. The fold is also not too trunk friendly. But the versatility of this thing is TOP NOTCH. You have an option to use it as a wagon, single, & double stroller. 23 different ways to stroll. Car seat adapters (to use with Nuna, Joie Gemm, Cybex, & Bugaboo specific infant car seats) , wagon seat, shopping basket, & 2nd toddler seat sold separately. The suspension on this thing is amazing and very multi-terrain friendly. Also for the price, this is such a great option. This stroller comes with a storage bag, bassinet, toddler seat, & rain cover for toddler seat. Another reason this stroller is awesome is because unlike other brands, the adapters (except for infant car seat) are BUILT IN. So no more having to purchase separate adapters. Bassinet holds up to 20 lbs. Toddler seat up to 50 lbs. Retails for $700 USD. Video review here.

Pros:

  • 23 in 1 versatility

  • Adapters built in (wagon seat supports up to 75 lbs each!!!)

  • Shock-absorption and great stroller sturdiness (unlike the Mixx Next)

  • Huge storage basket that can hold 20 lbs

  • New-born ready design with bassinet included

  • Comes with add ons like rain cover & storage bag

  • Much longer life span use especially with more than 1 child

  • OEKO-TEX certified fabrics (not FR free)

  • Grows with your baby

Cons:

  • Heavy & bulky (about 33 lbs with seat)

  • Large fold, taking up trunk space

  • No canopy if used in wagon mode

  • 5 point harness was a bit difficult to click & unclick

To finish:

Best when you’re planning to grow your family. Amazing price point. I think if they came out with more colors, it would really take off even more. The basket space is amazing.

Uppababy Cruz V3

Love it. I love it so much. I use the nearly flat recline option with my current 11 month old. You can use it as soon as you have your newborn. In my opinion, no need for a bassinet unless you really want to. You can use adapters for your Nuna, Maxi-cosi, Cybex, Chicco, Clek, Peg Perego, & Romer infant car seats. The Aria & Mesa infant car seats snap directly in. I was recently able to get my hands on it & wish so badly I would’ve used this instead of the Nuna Mixx Next. The basket space is bigger than the Mixx and the stroller feels more sturdy. My only con is that it scratches so easily. I got the silver finish thinking if it does scratch, it will be less noticeable which I feel it is vs getting the carbon finish (dark frame) but only but a slight amount. Any clink I hear if it’s in my trunk I twitch my eye because I can sense my stroller probably already scratched. ): Overall though, I dang love this stroller. It does take up more trunk space than the Mixx but certainly not as much as the momcozy change go. You can make it more compact but takes 3 steps. I actually use the built in sun cover shade (didn’t think I would). Holds up to 50 lbs. Video review coming soon!

  • Newborn-ready

  • Parent & world face

  • Magnetic Buckle

  • GREENGUARD Gold Fabrics & Flame Retardant free fabrics

  • Nice storage basket that can hold 30 lbs!

  • Built in shade cover on the already extendable canopy

  • No rethread harness

  • Sturdier suspension

  • One handed leg rest adjustment

  • Bassinet mode option underneath footrest that’s built in

  • Piggy back add on option

  • Includes a bug shield & rain cover

  • 1 inch narrower than previous models & seat sits 2 inches higher than previous models

  • Stand alone fold

  • Basket seems to have a cup holder!

Cons:

  • No room for 2, compared to their Uppababy Vista (I haven’t had a chance to get my hands on)

  • Just like the Nuna strollers, things like cup holder, stroller caddy, & snack tray add up

  • Takes up trunk space

  • Price ( but you can find it for $180 off on Stork Exchange!)

  • Peekaboo window isn’t as easily seeable unless canopy is extended all the way

  • Scratches easily :( (but there are hacks for the frame scratches no matter which color you get like using a sharpie but DO your own research)

I bring this up because it’s becoming more known that there ARE “hacks” to make the Cruz V3 a double. But please be aware that this has not been tested to safety standards and will actually void your warranty. If you’re between the Cruz V3 & Mixx Next. I am team Cruz V3 for more longevity.

Nuna Triv Next

My least used stroller. I think people who have this mainly love it for it’s compact and easy to use fold, which is why I originally wanted it. One of the most compact folds and saves so much trunk space. But after some time, when I went to fold it, it would jam. And I would have to remove the seat then manually fold the frame. I fixed it just by playing around with it but sometimes it still jams. The Nuna Mixx Next basket can hold more than the Nuna Triv Next basket. It also is a bit more wider than the Nuna Mixx Next, making strolling through shopping aisles like TJ maxx very difficult. But wow, this stroller is beautiful & flame retardant free. But I felt my baby was uncomfortable in this for long periods of time. When buckling, the crotch area is sewn closer the where baby puts their back making it dig into baby’s crotch area as they gradually slide down over time. I also found this stroller harder to one hand maneuver compared to the Mixx Next. Something nice just like the Mixx Next, you can remove the padding to reveal the mesh back on hot summer days. So so easy to get in and out of the car, but like I said, my least used. I like to use my stroller baskets so I would lean more towards the Mixx Next if you’re really looking for Nuna. Retails for $800 USD.

Pros:

  • Compact one handed fold (saving you a lot of trunk space)

  • Flame Retardant free

  • Lightweight

  • Magnetic Buckle

  • All seasons mesh seat

  • comes with infant ring seat adapter (for Nuna infant car seats only)

Cons:

  • Sometimes fold jams

  • Wider stroller making shopping through aisles harder

  • Hard to push with one hand

  • As baby grows, reports of toddler sliding down and crotch area being more sunken in

  • Not great on deep grass or gravel

  • Single stroller only

To finish:

Not a bad stroller just not my favorite. If you wanted to use a snack tray you have to buy a universal one from amazon. They do not make a Nuna Triv snack tray. Womp womp.

Guava Roam Stroller

Airless tires & one of the most compact running strollers (saving you trunk space!). Truly unique in the way it folds & how you never have to worry about filling them with air! I have taken this stroller on the beach, up hills, rigid terrains, etc. It’s truly been great! I did have a BOB stroller from my first back in 2018 (not reviewing since its been years & is an OLDER model) and one of the biggest hassles for me was always having to fill the tires. It did take up more trunk space than the Roam as well. In terms of push, the BOB did have a slightly better push from my memory but due to the compact fold & airless tires it’s hard to say that it was better. The basket also has pockets to carry any cups, etc. You can lock & unlock front wheel from the handle bar which is an add on. It reclines and has a extended canopy. Pocket in back set as well! What I love about it is the fold! Probably even more compact than the Cruv V3. The only thing I WISH it had was an adjustable footrest. But some extra good things are that you can use an infant car seat with it and they offer a snack tray for extra purchase! Beach friendly as long as sand is more flat! Retails for $699 USD.

Pros:

  • Compact Fold

  • Airless tires

  • Handlebar wheel lock

  • GREENGUARD Gold Certified fabrics

  • Smooth suspension

  • Option to add a infant car seat, snack tray, & parent caddy

  • Pock in back of seat

  • Guava offers a 60 day test period

  • Holds up to 60 lbs!!!! (It pushed great with my 41 lb 5 year old)

Cons:

  • No hand brake

  • Not best for newborn use (unless you’re using it with infant car seat)

  • Tight storage

  • Find it hard at times to place my Stanley somewhere (despite having their parent caddy)

  • They don’t make a double (yet) :(

To finish:

Honestly awesome for a family looking for an all terrain jogging stroller! Especially if you prefer to save space.

Nuna Tavo Next

Just like the Nuna Mixx Next, I like this stroller. Don’t love but this stroller is almost the same level of likeness as the Mixx Next due to it reminding me of my Graco stroller back in 2018. (: Super simple fold and feels more sturdy than the Mixx Next. I can definitely take this on multiple terrains and it at least do it’s job. (better than the Triv Next). It has such a nice recline too that is completely lay flat. SO flat in fact, I have been able to change my baby’s diaper in it! The only con is that it ONLY world faces but has a peekaboo window if you want to view your bebe. Baby can face you with Nuna infant car seats that click right directly into this stroller on the handle bar. NO adapters needed! This thing is a mini work horse. I feel more confident taking this to Disney world than I would the Mixx Next (I think the Mixx Next would handle it too but I feel the Tavo Next would handle it BETTER). Only thing I will say is it’s not as comfortable and plush as my Mixx Next is but that can be a simple fix with a stroller liner. Adjustable footrest which is amazing as well as a bassinet option with hidden flaps underneath footrest! What I will say though, the basket space is soooo small. WOMP WOMP. Literally my BIGGEST disappointment with this thing. Retails for $700 USD.

Currently found 1 on sale for $525 USD! Click Here!

Pros:

  • Magnetic buckles

  • Extendable canopy

  • Lay flat recline for newborn readiness

  • Mesh ventilation compartment if desired to be used lay flat

  • One touch brake (like all othe Nunas)

  • No car seat adapter needed! Nuna infant car seats click right in!

  • Flame retardant free

  • Mesh padding if liner is taken out

  • Very sturdy

  • Holds up to 50 lbs

Cons:

  • Lower basket capacity (10 lb weight limit)

  • World facing only (unless you use a Nuna infant car seat

  • No cup holder or snack tray included as the other Nuna strollers

To finish:

One of the more lower cost Nuna strollers. If basket space doesn’t matter to you as much and still appreciate a stroller that can handle a multitude of terrains, I definitely suggest this one!

Now onto travel strollers!✈️

Bugaboo Butterfly 2

As my baby grows and as he is my 3rd baby, I know this will eventually be my #1 primary stroller with time. Yup. This is my favorite stroller so far. BUT every stroller has a function. The Butterfly 2 made improvements from the Butterfly 1 (review after this one). The wheels are bigger. More upright. Canopy upgrade. Spacious basket & more! I have a video comparing the 2 here! I would not recommend it as a primary stroller if you have a newborn. But you can use car seat adapters to fit your Nuna, Maxi-Cosi, & Cybex infant car seats! It is also absolutely gorgeous! I got the green color and it is so pretty! But the accessories add up. I bought the snack tray and don’t like that I need to remove it EVERYTIME in order for it to fold. But one of the most amazing perks of this stroller is that overhead bin approved for the plane. (please check your specific airline). 17 lbs. Pocket on the back of seat (wish it was mesh). Just a little salty that the US version is not newborn flat recline compared to the European version. Some added perks are you can add on a rider board for 2nd kid!Retails for $599 USD.

You can get the Butterfly 2 from Stork Exchange ($180 off reatil) in new in box condition! Use this link to shop the Bugaboo Butterfly 2 & SAVE! (not always in stock)

Pros:

  • One handed fold

  • Overhead bin approved for most planes (please check your specific airline)

  • Big basket storage

  • Upright seating compared to 1st version and other travel strollers

  • Larger wheels than 1st version

  • Adjustable leg rest

  • Flame retardant free

  • Great extended canopy coverage

  • Perfect for travel & city life

  • Grows with baby

  • Holds 50 lbs

Cons:

  • It’s $599 USD. You can use you baby registry discount code from Amazon if you’d like. I also got it for an additional 10% off one rare instance when they were having a sale.

  • Handle bar can not be adjusted

  • No newborn recline on US version

  • Non magnetic buckle (TBH I expect more for the price)

  • Added accessories add up $$$

  • Doesn’t come with a rain cover unlike 1st version

To finish:

Definitely an investment. If price deters you, I suggest looking at Stork Exchange. But I personally love it!

Bugaboo Butterfly 1

I got this stroller at Target when I was pregnant with Alonzo in 2025 and was SO excited. It was my dream travel stroller since my 2nd (when it came out)! I have taken it to Peru, Panama, & California. I loved it. This is also overhead bin compliant on most airlines (but again, please check yours). The footrest is way more sturdy than the new Butterfly 2. To save space in my garage I did sell it. Though I was sad to see it go, I do prefer the upgrades done on the Butterfly 2 more. You can use your Maxi-Cosi, Nuna, & Cybex infant car seats with this stroller with their car seat adapters. I don’t know why they didn’t make it similar for the Butterfly 2. I actually prefer the Butterfly 1 shape of the infant car seat adapters. This stroller was a bit more harder to push through heftier terrain compared to the Butterfly 2. If you’d like, please view this video of me comparing the 1 & 2 version! This one DOES come with a grey raincover (that I still kept for my Butterfly 2). Retails for $479 USD

You can get the Butterfly 1 from Stork Exchange ($145 off retail) in new in box condition! Use this link to shop the Bugaboo Butterfly 1 & SAVE! (not always in stock)

Pros:

  • 1 second fold

  • Overhead bin compliant (check your airline)

  • Still a decent storage basket (Butterfly 2 is a bit bigger)

  • Flame retardant free

  • Can hold up to 50 lbs

  • Can function with a rider board for another sibling

  • Can be used with infant car seats like Nuna, Cybex, Maxi-Cosi

Cons:

  • Reports of it feeling tipsy (which I agree)

  • 2 handed leg rest

  • No peekaboo window

  • Can’t be used for newborns (But I did use a Uppababy infant insert as well as the car seat adapter when my baby was less than 6 months.

To finish:

If you still want the Bugaboo brand but don’t want to pay for the new Butterfly 2, I think this is a great option!

Well,

I sincerely hope this review was helpful! My main focus is lactation and I LOVE testing out pumps (look at my wearable pump blog here!) but behind pumps I also love testing out strollers! Please make sure to follow along on Instagram @Themilknest!
